Project-in-charge Jaica Mutia, joined by her assistant Stead Michael, leads the initial site mobilization—bringing structure to vision, and setting the tone for a facility dedicated to training real-world heroes.

Located in the heart of Cagayan de Oro, the Academy of Emergency Sciences (AES) provides globally recognized, American Heart Association-certified training, including:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

These courses are essential for local nurses, OFWs, medtechs, and healthcare students preparing for global careers. However, the learning space itself must align with the mission.

The building that now houses the Academy of Emergency Sciences – CDO Branch has deep roots, spanning three generations of the Palad family, as proudly shared by its owner, Dr. Paolo Palad. Once a private residence, now a future-forward training center, this space holds both legacy and purpose.

Out of five competing contractors invited to bid on this significant renovation, JMG Construction & General Merchandise was selected to bring the vision to life. We are honored to be entrusted with a structure rich in family history and now, a mission to train future lifesavers.
