Discover The Upper Central: A New Township in Cagayan de Oro

Megaworld is building something special in Cagayan de Oro. Their 35th township, The Upper Central, is a 117-hectare lifestyle community in the highlands. It promises a fresh lifestyle with homes, shops, parks, and breathtaking views of Macajalar Bay and the Malasag Mountain Range.

Located along J.R. Borja Road in Barangays Gusa and Indahag, this new township is 245 meters above sea level. The plans include residential villages, green parks, viewing decks, and mountain bike trails. About 40% of the space will be green and open, giving residents and visitors plenty of room to enjoy nature.

Getting there is easy, too. It’s just a short 10 to 15-minute drive from downtown Cagayan de Oro and under an hour from Laguindingan International Airport.

GERI, a Megaworld subsidiary, is investing ₱5 billion to develop The Upper Central over the next 10 years. The company sees Cagayan de Oro as a key city, known for its growing economy and ranking as the second most prosperous city outside Metro Manila based on per capita GDP.

Megaworld’s leaders are excited about this project. Kevin Tan, CEO of Alliance Global Group, calls Cagayan de Oro the “gateway to Northern Mindanao,” GERI President Monica Salomon can’t wait to transform the area into a vibrant community.

This development is also a milestone for Megaworld as it celebrates 35 years in the real estate industry. They’re not just building homes—creating opportunities, boosting the local economy, and uplifting the community. With The Upper Central, Megaworld is bringing a new kind of living to Cagayan de Oro, where modern life meets stunning natural beauty.
