Built by Faith, Not Funds: 100% Free Church Groundbreaking in Hinaplanan

“Walay imposible basta para sa Ginoo.”
— Nothing is impossible when it’s for the Lord.

Free church groundbreaking

In the quiet yet resilient barangay of Hinaplanan, nestled in the highlands of Claveria, Misamis Oriental, something extraordinary unfolded—a moment that went beyond concrete, rebar, and steel. It was a day that reminded us all that when faith meets purpose, miracles can—and do—happen.

🙏 A Groundbreaking Without a Price Tag—But Overflowing With Purpose

Our JMG Construction & General Merchandise team has celebrated multiple groundbreaking ceremonies this month alone. But this one—our third—felt unlike any other.

Why?

Because the proposed San Isidro Labrador Church is being built not on a financial budget but on belief. It’s a structure born not from wealth, but from the generosity of hearts, the unity of a community, and the grace of God.

This project comes at zero cost to the parish. No contracts. No fees. No conditions. Just a promise of commitment, service, and unwavering faith.

💡 How It All Began: A Call From the Heart

Not long after the pandemic, I received a call from my good friend and fellow servant, Engr. John Eric Esteba. He shared the heartfelt dream of Fr. Manny Amanence, parish priest in Hinaplanan, to restore and rebuild their humble church—a spiritual home that had served generations but had slowly fallen into disrepair.

I didn’t hesitate. I said yes—not because I had all the resources, but because I had the conviction to serve.

I pledged to sign and seal the plans, manage the building permits, and mobilize the full might of our JMG team. No strings attached. Just a mission rooted in our values:
“We design. We build. We value people.”
And in this case, we deeply value faith.

🛠 The Journey Wasn’t Easy—But It Was Worth It

We traveled to Claveria more times than we could count. Some visits were postponed, others were nearly canceled, but through it all, we trusted in God’s perfect timing.

And finally—today—we broke ground. Not just on the land, but on a dream. What began as a prayer has now become the first shovel touching soil—a moment that transforms vision into reality.

Standing on that sacred ground was emotional—witnessing tears, laughter, and the spirit of bayanihan. Local parishioners lifted prayers, while volunteers and professionals freely offered their time and talents. Everyone contributed, because everyone believed.

❤️ Faith in Action: Building With No Budget, But With Abundance

This is more than just building a church—it’s about building a legacy of faith. Every nail we drive, every beam we raise, and every wall we finish is a testament to what’s possible when people unite under a greater calling.

This is not about business or branding.
This is about serving a mission far beyond ourselves.

We are reminded that the most meaningful projects aren’t measured by revenue, but by how they bring people together and instill eternal hope in the hearts of communities.

🤝 The Savior Estate Encounter: When Professionals Step Up

A moment that fueled this mission further happened during the Savior Estate Project. There, I met a group of professional engineers—talented individuals who didn’t just offer their expertise—they volunteered their skills for free, inspired by faith and service.

It was also in this project that I had the pleasure of working with Architect Dina, who crafted an amazing concept design that captured the heart of the mission. She didn’t stop at blueprints—she brought the vision to life through a captivating walkthrough video that made the entire concept feel real before any foundation was laid.

Seeing engineers, architects, and volunteers all come together affirmed one truth: God is orchestrating everything. And when people are willing to serve not just with their hands but with their hearts, the outcome is immeasurable.

📌 Please Keep This Church in Your Prayers

As we move forward, we ask for your continued support—not in money, but in faith. Please pray for the workers, the community, and Fr. Manny’s steadfast mission.

Let this story be a spark of hope in your life. If you believe in the power of bayanihan and the truth that God provides, share this story.

Let others witness what happens when people build not for profit—but for purpose.

✨ To God Be the Glory

From all of us at JMG Construction & General Merchandise, we are honored to be part of this journey. Together, we will rise—one brick, one prayer, one purpose at a time.
