On Friday, October 30, 2026, the 517 Courtyard House broke ground in La Granja Estates, Brgy. Pualas, Baungon, Bukidnon. For our team at JMG Design & Build, it marked the point where months of design coordination, planning, and preparation turned into work on the ground.
This is a short look back at the day. If you were planning to join us, our groundbreaking guest guide covers the route and site etiquette we shared beforehand.
The site
The lot sits inside La Granja Estates, with open views toward the Bukidnon hills. The photos below show it from above on the day of the ceremony: fenced, accessible, and ready for mobilization.

Getting everything in place
A groundbreaking is a ceremony, but it is also a site day, and we treat it that way. Hard hats were set out for guests, the ceremonial ground-breaking spot was marked, and the area was set up so the program could run smoothly.

The ceremony
Guests, family, and members of the project team gathered under the tent before the program began. Moments like these are why we insist on proper preparation: when the day arrives, everyone knows where to stand, what to wear, and what comes next.

The people who will build it
A house is only as good as the people who build it. Our site crew was part of the day, and they are part of the photos for a reason: the ones who dig, pour, and build deserve the same place in the frame as the ones holding the shovel.

To respect the privacy of the project owners, their faces in some of these photos are replaced with illustrations.
Thank you, ARCLAB
We were honored to have ARCLAB with us on the day, led by Ar. Aedriane Celis, architect of record for the 517 Courtyard House. Having the design team on site as ground was broken meant a great deal to everyone on our side.
Our thanks also go to Ar. Aedriane and the ARCLAB team for considering JMG Design & Build to take part in the bid for this project, and for the trust that followed. That trust is something we take seriously. Our commitment is to build the house the way it was designed: planned, coordinated, and built right the first time.
Thank you
To our clients, the design team, the guests who travelled to Baungon, and the crew on site: thank you for being part of the first day. We take the trust placed in us seriously, and we intend to build this house properly, the first time.
